royal hawaiian
I’m back in California, decompressing from my quick trip to Oʻahu.
God, I love Hawai’i. I’ve only been to Oʻahu, but it is a magical place. I got to surf and beach it every day. The turtles, the water, breathtaking. I’m easily distracted by bodies of water, and mountains too, especially when they’re layered in shades of blue. Even with wedding duties keeping me busy, I still made the most of it. I ate most of it too.
I jumped into the ocean every chance I got. Just ask the wedding guests who saw me hop the Royal Hawaiian fence during my best friend’s wedding to play in the water.
I had the absolute pleasure of being maid of honor at the wedding of someone I love so much, in Hawai’i no less. KC and Andy had the most perfect wedding. I gave a heartfelt speech, cried, and apparently made others cry too. I love that for me.
It was a quick trip, filled with a lot of emotion. I honestly felt like part of their family. Saying goodbye to Nana Casey had me teary-eyed. Moments like that, while emotionally taxing, warm my soul and remind me how grateful I am to be living this life alongside the people I know.
